Genetic Research Study: IL-37 (ITS)

We are currently recruiting participants for a study investigating a new anti-inflammatory protein and its role in the oral cavity. Upon qualifying to participate, 3 study visits scheduled over 6 weeks (to the GO Health Center located within the UNC School of Dentistry) will be required. Subject samples such as saliva, dental plaque, and gingival crevicular fluid will be required.

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • are a Caucasian between the ages of 18 and 65
  • have 20 teeth, excluding wisdom teeth
  • are a non-smoker
  • are not diabetic

Participants that complete this study will receive $40.00, a free dental examination and cleaning. Free parking vouchers will be given for each study visit.
