IFI16 is a periodontitis modulating protein (IFI)
We are currently recruiting participants for a study analyzing the effects of a specific protein on periodontal disease. If you qualify to be in the study, participation will include 6 visits (with the potential of 2 additional visits) to the GO Health Center, located within the UNC School of Dentistry.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- are at least 18 years old
- have at least 20 natural teeth
- are a non-smoker
- are not diabetic
Participants that complete this study will receive:
- $200.00 (via check)
- Cleaning
- Parking vouchers for each visit

Dental Composite Research Study
Participants with dental cavities in their back teeth are needed for a research study.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are 18 years of age and older
- Have cavities in the posterior (back) teeth
- Do not have Dry Mouth, Sjogren’s Syndrome or Periodontal disease
Participation in this research study will require 7 visits (over a 5 year period) to the General & Oral Health Center, located in the UNC School of Dentistry. You may be eligible to receive two free dental restorations (fillings) and up to $250 for successful study completion.
